Welcome

  • The Stargate Internet Museum chronicles the history of
    • Email over the UNIX dial-up UUCP network, and
    • the Usenet bulletin-board system (best known today as Google Groups.)
  • Mary Ann Horton’s involvement in the early days of the net resulted in her collection of several vintage computers.
  • These computers were part of the formation of the Internet in the 1980’s.
  • The Museum is currently hosted in Poway, CA.
  • This virtual web museum makes the Stargate history more available.
